Don Skelly has been active in real estate for more than 15 years and has been involved in the development of more than $100 million of residential, mixed-use, retail, and office properties.  As Director of Business Development for Stonehaus Development he directed the development and capitalization of a $90 million portfolio of residential, mixed-use and multi-family projects. Specific areas of expertise include market analysis, structured finance, strategic analysis, New Urbanist development, historic tax credits, redevelopment, and conservation easements. 

Somerset Realty Advisors has provided market and pro-forma financial analysis for a diverse portfolio of real estate projects in eight states.  Past projects include:

  • Provided detailed market analysis, land development plan, and pro-forma financials for the redevelopment of an alpine ski resort in Vermont. 
  • Managed the re-zoning and development of a 243 acre mixed-use New Urbanist development in Virginia.
  • Developed a detailed market analysis and site plan for a 40 lot residential sub-division in southern New Hampshire. 

Somerset Realty Advisors is currently working on projects in 3 states. In addition to real estate development, Don's experience includes strategic analysis and planning for a diverse array of clients including a leading auto-racing retailer, and a heritage beef and pork operation.  

Don received a B.A. in Politics from Washington & Lee University and an M.B.A. in Finance from the Mason School of Business at the College of William & Mary.
